We’re now offering Save the Date Cards! These are hugely popular in the USA, and just catching on here in Canada. They go out in advance of formal wedding invitations, and are another great way to use photos from an engagement shoot. The cards are a thick 5×5 card, printed on both sides, and come with a high-quality invitation envelope.

I was speaking with someone today about possibly shooting their choir, and sent them some samples of work I had done for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. I love shooting music– it’s so emotional both to hear and to photograph.

It was such a pleasure to wander around in Old Montreal yesterday with friends and family. I’m always shooting weddings when I’m down there, and too busy to enjoy the sites. I forgot how beautiful it really is, expecially Marche Bonsecours.

Some photos from Farooq and Nadah’s wedding on the weekend, starting with a turban ceremony at his parent’s place on Friday.

Much to Farooq’s delight, several of his childhood friends flew over from the Middle East to attend the wedding.

The party was the next day, starting with photos of the bride, lovely Nadah.

Just downloading the photos into the computer from Elsa and Eric’s wedding now, but saw this one and wanted to post it– I just love it! More photos later.
The wedding was at Montreal’s Montefiore Club, a private Jewish members club, complete with dark wooden panneling, and elegant decor. What really impressed me, though, was that they had several Notman photographs hung up, from back as far as 1880, of various past presidents. I used to teach my students about Notman, and drag them down to the McCord Museum to see his work, but I had never actually seen any of this photos hung up in plain sight. It was such a thrill!
