Montreal Children’s Photography: Olivier and Maxime’s Annual Photo Shoot and Album

A fun project that I’ve done for the past three years, has been to to photograph Olivier on his birthday each year.  The end result of the photo shoot is a high-quality 30-page photo book, printed in Japan.

The first year, Olivier was 1 years old, and he was an only child.  The second year he was (obviously) two years old, but he had a new baby brother– cuddly Maxime.  This year, the two boys are a rough-and-tumble age 3 and 18 months, and their mum, Nathalie, has her (very capable) hands full.

Below are some pages from each of the books.

BTW: the red line on some of the pages just marks the centre of the book for the printer.  It is not visible in the actual book.

Book 1: Olivier (2007)

Book 2: Olivier and Maxime (2008)

Maxime was sleeping most of the time I was there shooting, so we have more shots of Olivier in this book.

Book 3: Olivier & Maxime (2009)

Maxime was ill on his third birthday, so we decided to keep the shots of him pounding back the Tempra, and snoozing on the couch. Being sick is part of the life of a kid, and it seemed more true-to-life include everything.

Because Olivier was sick, this time we got more photographs of handsome Maxime.

The black and white photograph of the child’s hand is exceptionally moving.

Wonderful photos. They are so adorable. The images are so clear and crisp. The eyes are just so real. These must be very beautiful albums. Keep up the good work and best regards.

I go for photo album because you can keep the memories for a longer time. It is never deleted nor corrupted. Your photos are so wonderful. Truly a moment to remember during their childhood days.

I love the pictures! The children look so innocent. I love how the pictures depict their daily activities.
